Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
We desperately need a LB but not that desperate. £31.5m for Maatsen is seriously bonkers beyond belief and where the hell would the money come from surely only from the sale of players next year. This transfer window is becoming delusional as clearly we could have bid higher sums for other players w...

What is happening with Tresor ? Is he on his way by plane or not ? Nothing yet on LB's which absolutely ridiculous. Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
It was mentioned by lots of posters all summer long that we needed LB's, upgrades to midfield and a goal scoring striker. Yet with 10 days to go in the window we have signed the square root of nothing for LB's, seemingly desperate for Maatsen, Koulibaly deal fell over and nothing else happening. Upg...

Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
I saw links that we might be bidding for Ernest Nuamah but that Tottenham were also likely to bid as well as there being interest from several European teams. Then I saw reports that we might bid £25m. I also then saw a report that suggested Tottenham might go to £30m so I thought we would be seen o...

I said at the end of last season that I thought Josh Brownhill might be sold in order to raise cash for transfers and the seeming delay over him agreeing a new contract only enhanced that thought. However selling him in our current situation I don't think would make good sense especially given the o...

There are still rumours that a dal for Tresor may still be on the cards and talks are ongoing. If Maatsen is a no-go then are we going to rely on Taylor and Vitinho or is a deal on anywhere for LB's ?

There are still reports that we are still interested in Tella, Maatsen, Tresor, Vrankx, Hamer and Lakonga. Given we may get a couple in on loans amongst let alone signed as permanents we are definitely in danger of having more players than the squad limit unless there is going to be a number of outg...

I'm not sure how Palmer playing at Brighton is a help to Man City though especially as he might not get that much game time and with the possible players Brighton are going to lose this window.

So every single signing a club makes is a player better than what is already there? It just doesn't work like that. It's about creating a well rounded squad. And something we lack at the moment is experience and a player who can give another option for Zaroury wide left and Gudmundsson more central...

Strange signing/ bad signing. Whatever. It amounts to the same thing. You don't agree with it. On the contrary though, I think he'd fit in perfectly with the system in pretty much the same way Tella did alternating between a wide and central position. Redmond played up front and out wide for Southa...

Its been implied that we may have had a pool of around 60 layers in whom we may have an interest. Regarding the "links" to Paddy McNair. It's noticeable that the 3 teams linked to him are all 3 of the promoted teams from the season just ended which says it all really. And I can envisage one where BFC management says "thanks but that ship's sailed now and we're sorted" Looking back at the previous owners and manager a few days before the window shut they would be trying to sign a 6th goalkeeper, a 38 year old striker and a League 2 defender for a couple of millio...

I’m unconvinced there’s a correlation between what we’re spending on a GK and what that means for the rest of the window. In a system like Kompany’s, the GK is vital. He may have seen the purchase as the top priority of the summer. I would have thought replacing Barnes was the priority given our st...

I'd be happy with a striker giving us 10-15 goal contributions in the PL. If I'm honest you're being unrealistic if you expect us to go and sign someone who is going to get more for the same cost. Its far more difficult than it looks, Wood was giving us that (more goals and less assists) and the ge...

I'm not saying I want Adams (I'd love the Milik link to be true) but to suggest he isn't worth the fee is a bit silly imo. Statistically he isn't bad in the PL and hes not quite in his peak yet. I wouldn't even consider Adams when we were in the Championship let alone the PL. Given the possible links (all be it not concrete) to overseas players this would be a disappointing signing for me and very much lacking in the excitement stakes.
