I don’t disagree with most of the comments made by posters re playing Beyer at right back or that he has played in that position previously for other clubs and his country. But I still don’t see why Kompany would start to play him at right back when he has shown zero inclination to do so up until now.

All went to bigger/better clubs and probably on a lot more money. Townsend would have been a bench warmer at best.
