According to the BBC: 'Hannes Delcroix, Jordan Beyer and Charlie Taylor all missed Burnley's defeat at Manchester City, but manager Vincent Kompany says an unnamed one of those three could return on Saturday.' Unless it was an old photo, Delcroix was pictured in training on Thursday. I haven’t seen...

Roberts has been at Burnley for two and half years and only really given us 6 good months. I know he had his illness but he was pretty underwhelming for most of his time at Burnley apart from the second half of last season. There’s very little between him and Vitinho ability wise (I personally think...

It didn’t work out. He was a punt for the u21’s (we’ve signed a number of these types).
Not every single signing is going to work out.
I’m sure we’ll all get over it.

If vk wanted a ‘proper rb’ Roberts would be starting each game from what we have, an improving Vitinhio offers more of the other aspects vk wants from a full back. Hence why he plays. What, exactly, does he offer? How does he offer more than Roberts? Is it how weak he is defensively? How he cowers ...

Call me old fashioned but I’d think we need a left back at left back than continue our struggles with putting centre halves, right back or utility right footer in that position. I had a succession of proto champ manager ‘style’ games on the C64 that I would play for hours. Weirdly addictive. https://youtu.be/BUkAponSXMo?si=FacePTC...

Lots that is lost in translation in his interview - the above comments aren’t really fair. How does his English stack up against everyone else’s Ivorian/French…?
“Lazy” clearly means he’s a chilled character off the pitch.
Why didn’t anyone quote the positive things he said in his interview?

I don’t disagree with most of the comments made by posters re playing Beyer at right back or that he has played in that position previously for other clubs and his country. The thought of playing Beyer at right back is that he has a transferable skill set to play there (can carry the ball, composed when under pressure, has played there before, has been a slightly weak link at cb in recent months, would add extra physicality to our team) and if we are adding yet anothe...

I do agree regarding full backs, but I think Centre mid is still a really important position.
