Re: Toffees vs Clarets Match Thread
This is a fair point. But it's worth taking into consideration that the Luton squad has been about 3 seasons in it's development. We got promoted largely on the strength of loan signings. I'm not sure we could buy a decent PL squad on VK's budget. Well didn't Luton actually sign a couple of players...

Re: I’m so sick of Kompany
As I posted on the match thread 6 points and 15 goals behind a team we finished about 20 points better last season is not really acceptable. It looks like we will finish bottom which is embarrasing.

What's galling is we're 6 points behind Luton and 15 goals worse. We were what . . 20.points better last season? That's fairly unforgiveable. Moneyball hasn't worked out.

Dyche knows how dreadful is our defending of set pieces and will play on that. That's my worry. Otherwise I think we can outplay them.

But Taylor was finding those spaces from the left back position? The whole reason he was finding space was because of our shape and system. Benson did well to get the shot in that he had. A foot higher and it would have been in. Hard to understand why he wasn't brought in earlier and Fofana taken off.

It happened in front of us and he fell over the ball. Twisted and fell over it. A joke of a decision given that the referee was right there. But poor defending for the header. Can pretty much summarise all their performances as showing lots of potential but also the raw edges and inconsistency that you get with younger players.
