Re: Our wingers
Its absolutely a system thing hindering the wide players and has been since Dyche arrived. Our defence and midfield play so deep the wide players end up defending in our own third and have to run the length of the pitch to attack often with very little support. Wood was so isolated today because th...

Re: Pope saved us from
I like to imagine the OP is imagining the alternative to Pope would be not having a goalie. In which case he's spot on to be fair.

Why is it that when negative fans have a word with themself they're being smart, but when I do it I'm losing my marbles?

Re: Our wingers
Dyche has a very specific view of wingers, and one that's seen him right. Scott Arfield is the embodiment of it. They are players who can support their full backs first, can complement their central midfield second and can attack third. It's been a massively successful model but it's been a model th...

They should hang him to death imo. Arguments will take place about whether he should be drawn and quartered, but that's secondary.

Re: Time to play Westwood
Dyche thinks he can play Westwood off the striker and it'll work. I like the positivity behind it but it didn't work last year when the striker was Vokes so it definitely won't work now when the striker is Wood. I reckon he could put out a winning team with any three of our midfielders, but for as l...

Re: 600+ away fans on saturday
But thats the bit I don't understand. Hoolies are thick as pigshit. Always have been, always will be. Cops were posted around the ground, the back up police horses in the usual place and enough to police 200 + Hanover fans. I'm interested in whether it was organised by an evil genius, or just kicke...

Re: 600+ away fans on saturday
When in the past have you seen a fair-sized police presence on a friendly match? When have you seen full body searches on the way into a friendly? Andrew Greaves has tweeted there was police intelligence that ultras would be here for this fixture. They threw seats into the home fans - people could h...

At least 100 seats were thrown. It'd only take one seat to kill someone.

From what I saw, they were really quick to get into position. But it was the stewards who went into the stand. The police did a top job of watching the Germans.

Re: Re: Mighty Clarets versus Hannover 69 oops!
Huge questions need to be asked about this football team being invited to Burnley. The number of seats thrown over into the Cricket Field End, we should be thinking we're lucky nobody was brained and killed. Tweets are suggesting people in positions of authority knew ultras might travel. That is put...

Re: Removal of statues in New Orleans.
Typically statues are erected in honour of people who have earned recognition within society. In the past, enslaving blacks was seen as a positive and those who did it were venerated. Looking back now, it seems people who enslaves Africans were absolute *****. They used to be really famous but now t...

I was a big believer in Andre, but he's at the very bottom of the list of brilliant young strikers we've had in the 21st century, He is so frustrating.

Re: Clarets Pitch Invasions
I've run onto the pitch once ever, it was at Rotherham. We'd lost about 3-0, but I think results elsewhere confirmed we were surviving with a few games to spare. I found it a bit lacking, probably because I never thought we were going to go down and we'd just lost about 3-0. And I was in Rotherham.
