All of the discussion surrounding Bournemouth, and trying to compare our situation to theirs last campaign, overlooks one major factor in that they retained the services of Dominic Solanke who ended up the second highest scorer with 29 goals. You conveniently leave out that he was absolute pants in...

I know it’s Alex Crook and he’s not considered reliable but he said Delap is allowed to leave City on loan, and while Southampton have been interested, they may prefer a striker on a permanent. This would possibly be good news for us if true? Fabrizio Romano "Manchester City are prepared to let Lia...

Huddersfield perhaps: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2019%E2%80%9320_Huddersfield_Town_A.F.C._season Hopefully not an example of what will happen to us! They just escaped relegation that first year after a terrible start. Huddersfield sold all their players and didn't bother replacing them properly....

I wouldn't be surprised if all our senior players haven't had their agents sounding out Prem clubs, Charlie is a Leeds fan, it would make sense to go back there, if they want him. For once, it seems like we are being proactive in bringing in players before the likes of McNeil, Cornet or Brownhill g...

I’m glad somebody brought this up, or alternatively he isn’t ready to manage in the Championship. We will have a hell of a lot of baggage for a new manager coming in. We stick with him and the players. I highly doubt he will leave in the first season, and a monkey could get this side to a top 10 fi...

Please can you forward me the link where Kompany says that THB is Collins replacement? Or are you just talking shite Doesn’t take a genius to work it out. Wolves we’re first credited with interest in mid-June, first broken by Nixon. We then proceeded to recruit 3 centre backs. Collins hasn’t taken ...

We’ve already brought in three central defenders do Collins’s replacement is already here. Been saying this all day Tony. I think the back defensive signings are all done now. Lowton, Roberts, Egan-Riley, Harwood-Bellis, Kevin Long, Luke McNally, Charlie Taylor, Owen Dodgson We've got two players f...

With regards to the fee, Nixon is sticking to his "Burnley know different" line. Perhaps its being underreported purposely.. That would suit both clubs because it makes it seem like we have less then we do. Nick Pope fee has been quoted as anywhere between 10m - 15m depending on who you believe. If...

If we suddenly start looking for a new CH, it shows the Collins sale was not necessarily a formality. Looking at who we have left its down to just the three we have just bought. I dont think Long will suit VK's style of play, however dependable, and Thomas will make a good fourth choice CH. If we p...

I suspect the club knew Collins was going when Alan Nixon broke this story in mid-June, and that's why we've signed 3 centre backs. It's also notable that he's the only player other than Weghorst than hasn't reported for preseason, which I did think was odd once Cornet was back. Seems to be that it'...

Would you be happy if we were trying to sign a player for £30+ million who has only played a handful of games in the PL, or would you be saying that’s to high and he’s not worth that? I would like him to stay but £21 - £25m is about right 30+ isn't my expectation, 28 - 30m would represent a good de...

Very disappointing from the club if the fee is 21m. We've basically signalled to the whole of the Premier League that its open season on our players and we'll accept 2/3 their value. I would expect Cornet and a few others might follow yet. I don't see us doing much next season, it's going to take a ...

It’s impossible to judge whether this is going to be a positive or negative thing or not at the moment. It hinges almost solely on what happens with the money. Firstly, there’s no way the final fee is 20.5m, it will surely be closer to 25m+. Secondly, we need to wait and see whether VK gets the cash...

Shock Horror!!! A Premier League standard player doesn't want to stay at a relegated club. This is the reality of us being relegated. Just like we don't seem to be hanging around signing players, moving into next targets quickly rather than hanging around we seem to be doing the same when players a...

Nixon saying there is no bid at the valuation yet for Collins Probably that 20.5m is their opening bid and they're not too far offer the valuation, so the deal is seen as in 'advanced talks' It's probably a minor quarrel, like they want 20.5m + addons to make 25m, Burnley want a flat 25m. It's expe...

I don't see the relevance or comparison with Pope. We've just sold him at the age of 30 after being our first choice keeper for a number of years. Think you'll find much of our fanbase thought 10m was a low offer for Nick Pope with 2 years on his deal. (1 year + option) 30 is nothing for a goalkeep...

New policy of buying youth is only good if we keep our experienced players. We can't expect to challenge for promotion with Hardwood-Bellis, Egan-Riley, Keving Long and Luke McNally as our centre backs. It's just not going to happen. Pace seems intent on accepting any offer we get for our senior pro...

We’ve already got FOUR strikers in our first team squad - Barnes, Rodriguez, Vydra and Twine. It sounds very harsh but I think we should terminate Vydra’s contract and recruit a young, lightening fast and powerful replacement. Vydra is out of contract and receiving treatment through the club as we'...

I think it’s similar to Collins for us. He was our record signing for CB and I think we are all of the opinion he wouldn’t have got a game if it wasn’t for injuries. Doesn’t mean he’s not a top player it’s just progression planning. Ben Gibson was our record signing, joint with Chris Wood at 15m. C...

I think he will get at least half a season to a season to bed in. He will play but to I imagine predominantly off the bench. They currently have three top forwards behind Toney. 18 appearances at Left wing and the rest came from an advanced CM role. It’s a risk but he’s not going to be starting is he? He’s going to get time to bed in and play. They have three top wingers advanced CMs already at the club. Can’t see them wanting to give their record signing too long to bed i...

I find rumours about Cornet laughable, if a team wants him, they pay the release clause. Quite a simple piece of business to do. It’s probably not a case of that. I would assume the clubs sound out the agent.. If the agent is saying he’s not moving until later on the window then the clubs won’t mak...

Cornet rumours certainly ramping up.. Links with Leeds, Fulham, Everton, Chelsea, Arsenal, and a host of clubs around Europe.. Would rather get it done sooner rather than later, but I expect his agent is advising to push it until late in the window to see who might pop up when they miss out on their...

Seri was hailed as some sort of massive coup for Fulham when they signed him 4 years ago. There were comparisons with Kante. He pulled up no trees and got farmed out on loan a few times. He will turn 31 before the season starts. Might prove to be a decent signing, but top players don’t end up at Hu...

If the release clause is 17.5 million, that is still a reasonably significant amount to fork out, even for the PL (it's higher than we've ever played for a player for instance). I can't see any of the top teams signing him - he's not good enough for the starting 11 and for that price expensive for ...

This has been mentioned many times now. He was 19 at this time and he played 5 games for them. He’s since had a very impressive season in Turkey and been Kosovo’s number 1 for the past 2/3 years. Cornet surely had to return to training otherwise he would have been fined? That's not really the point I am making at all. I am saying that Cornet's return to training might have been the first chance VK has had to speak to him. Perhaps there is a lot more optimism that he is staying than there wa...

Got a feeling that Cornet will stay. While no one wants to play in the championship, VK and a new style of play/players might want him to stick around, at least for a year. I don't think Chelsea is really that interested in him. https://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/chelsea-fc-transfer-rumours-ne...

Junior tickets should be exempt from the points scheme when purchased with an adult ticket that has enough qualified points, at a maximum of one additional ticket for a junior per qualifying adult. It's not that hard of a solution to think up. Club is useless in this respect and always has been.
