Re: Weghorst
I’m not ignoring anything. I’m saying : 1) the World Cup can often give a false impression as to how a player will perform at club level 2) it is a big risk and a lot of money based on his current salary for any premier league club to buy Weghorst given how he has played in this league so far. Not ...

Punishing muti-billionaires in some cases, will mean nothing to their finances. So a pointless exercise. Re: Wigan Points Deduction
If it's wrong to make the fans suffer points deductions because of the illegal payments, then by definition it must be wrong to let them celebrate points "earned" because of the illegal payments. Wigan won promotion last year, while (and presumably because of) spending money they didn't have. Logic...

How do you know it didn't work between Dyche and Weghorst? Largely because his strike rate in a major league was spectacular until he had to play Dycheball. I find it rather sad that many on here seem to be happy, or at least not in the least bit sad, that a football club, with fans and a community, are in desperate trouble. Almost making fun of it. Congrats to Sean definitely but I am disappointed they stayed up yet again by the skin of their teeth. They have toyed with relegation too long and though I have no dislike for them they need a relegation to re-group I think. Super goal that kept them up though.

I must say though that although I like both sweetcorn or pineapple shouldn’t be within a mile of a pizza. And stuffed crusts don’t exist in Italy to the best of my knowledge.

Why do some people some people think Luton going up would be better for us than Boro? They finished third, 5 points ahead of Boro, with far better recent form. They might struggle in the PL, but so would Boro, and so might we. Take Akpom out of that Boro team and they are ordinary at best.

At Ewood they wouldn’t have scored if we were still playing now. On run of play they got exactly what they deserved, beaten by the Champions. Apart from the obvious at Bramhall there were one or two where we got a result against the run of play. WBA comes to mind and, dare I say it, Ewood. Daft question - of course he’s a claret hero. It was ball to hand in any case. If it was accidental, as I think it was, then he is no hero because he didn’t intend it. If it was intentional then it was stupid because Muric had it fully covered and he could have cost us two points. Either way it’s not in any way ‘heroic’. I think it’s a bit odd that some fans hatred of Rovers runs to celebrating one of our players getting away with handball in the penalty area. By the way you mentioned people from school there, I often wonder how many are still around. I know Hawkeye went quite young and I think Mick Byrne is gone. Only person I see now is John Winfield (who I went through primary with too) but I only see him when someone dies cos he owns Fred Hamers.
