modern hybrids pretty comfortable and pacey kaptin. Like you I had a break from cycling and was set on getting a drop handle but riding position on a modern hybrid along with hydraulic disk brakes made the decision easy for me. Much more pot hole friendly as well which is a big modern day factor now...

i play off 13 so not exactly a hacker. my clubs are at least 25 plus years old so expect some improvement with new clubs, especially if fitted. Will probably get a lesson or 2 as well.

After a trip to the lakes i got to wondering about camping up there. its years since i have been camping.I have an estate car so perhaps throwing a tent and gear in back makes sense. I love a decent shower so if anyone can recommend a good site or 2 and any tips on gear etc that would be welcomed.

Thanks all. just back, stayed at the britannia inn near elterwater. walked a few miles round lake on sunday then today took ferry from glenriiding to howtown there and back and in between climbed that hill with the mini tower on top. someone said it was called hall something or another. pretty steep...

I live in Nelson. Its like 2 different towns really. Hendon road is the dividing line. south of that is the pits and north of that (walton lane area and up to the park and golf course) is a decent place to live with very affordable decent houses. Very rarely go in to town.

As a small business owner I have 3 apprentices at different ages. My dad is a fairly lively 80 year old and recovering from a recent hospital stay. He fancies a week away in a b and b or hotel. Perhaps Scotland or scarborough etc. Somewhere that would give him a single room deal at a fair price. Any recommendations appreciated.
