Just a realist who finds it very difficult to see anyway out of this situation without devastating effect on health and economy. I guess the difference is that the player Mee fouled had possession of the ball and Ben didn't whilst the aerial battle was a 50/50

Taylor left a gap open at the back, which was exposed when Jay lost the ball. Ben had to make a decision and was a centimetre away from an inch perfect tackle.

I can buy into the meat free theories and I've cut back a lot recently. This does seem excessive though.
