Re: "Can't believe it" moments
Yeah , Brazil blamed the injury to Neymar as the reason for the shock result. Apparently it dented their confidence before the game to lose their talisman.

Couldn't really hear the players shouting. I assume they took away the pitchside microphones. Their was a bit of cheering audible when the goals were scored but i'm not sure if it was recorded or not. Maybe just the bench noise. Overall it was as good as you can get without fans and it didn't feel l...

Re: Football in empty stadiums
Augsburg had covered a lot of the seats in their Bob Lord stand , if you get my drift, as these were the ones that were in view of the main camera. They covered them with a huge club badge kind of thing that was draped across the front 20 rows or so. This was better than just empty seats. When the g...

Quite enjoyed the Augsburg v Wolfsburg game. Last minute winner too for the away team. It worked under the circumstances and is better than nothing. If this is how it has to be for the rest of the season then lets go for it and watch some footie on TV.

Just be careful when you see the TV in operation in a shop as they are normally showing 4k videos and as we know there are very few channels that actually broadcast in 4k so the picture won't be that sharp when you get it home and put Corrie on.

Watched a movie called FLIGHT on netflix. Tremendous film with Denzel Washington as an alchoholic airline pilot who crashes his passenger jet. (not a spoiler) Fantastic bit of film making for the actual crash but the story behind the event and the aftermath are enthralling.

I have a Samsung curved 48" TV with matching curved Samsung soundbar. Picture took some getting used to as it sort of throws the picture out at you in a 3d sort of way. Only problem is light reflection from artificial light. Lamps are a problem at night from certain angles so we had to relocate them...

Training at Turf Moor
If the season is to start again behind closed doors would it be a good idea for the players to train at an empty TM just to get used to playing in a near silent stadium? Less of a shock to the system when the real games start.

Liverpool, as First Division Champions and Sunderland, as FA Cup winners chose not to compete, so we were invited (as Second Division Champions) to play the existing holders of the Charity Shield, Man City.

You can't remake these films. It was the cast that made them what they are. Carry on Columbus was horrificly bad. Imagine remaking the Friends series with 6 new actors taking on the lead roles. Nah.

I suppose they are a bit like Marmite . Personally I think they are great. Harmless fun and innuendo from a bygone era where a bit of cheekiness wasn't considered to be anything but that. Poking fun at British institutions and customs. Carry on Cleo is my favourite. "Infamy, infamy, they've all got ...
