Ah nice! Would that cover me on the non-ICE route Frankfurt Airport to Mainz then? Yeah, just go to the Regionalbahnhof in the Airport and jump on either the RE trains or the S8 to Mainz. It's about 25 minutes. Worth downloading the RMV app, or going to rmv.de, it's pretty straight forward to use

Note for anyone who is going, on the bottom of your ticket, you will note another QR code which has RMV Kombi written on it. This should give you free travel on the RMV public transport network all day on the 5th August until 4am on the morning of the 6th. This generally covers S-Bahn, U-Bahn, RE Ba...

I've just checked the Mainz website, and they are listing it as 15:30 kick off, which is 14:30 UK time.

They also note it's 2 x 45 minute halves, plus and additional 30 minutes. Not sure why, but I've read that a couple of times now.

We don't need a third kit against anyone. In fact no team should need one, other than for retail purposes. Hoping it improves in a bit as I'm itching for a cricket fix as there's bugger all in Germany.

Don’t buy supermarket bacon. A quality butcher or deli should be able to supply bacon that will satisfy your tastebuds. I never usually buy supermarket meat, but even butcher's bacon doesn't do it for me, unless it's on a bagel with cheese and cranberry sauce. Which somewhat negates the decent bacon.
