Re: ARTICLE: Have Burnley ditched moves for Dawson and Jay Rod?
I hope Burnley continue to operate with a degree of common sense. I think the initial offer of £25 million for the pair was more than reasonable. WBA have always been a difficult club for us to negotiate with but I'd be surprised if we didn't end up with either or both of these players come the 9th ...

I think £25 million should be more than sufficient to prise these 2 guys away from WBA. We don't want to end up like a whole host of other clubs paying well over the top, only to end up with serious debt and back in the Championship. Don't forget there's two lots of wages to finance on top of these ...

I can see him ending up at a club like Bolton where he was on loan last season. I think the lads been unlucky with injuries and this has probably cost him a top flight and good international career.

I know it's been inevitable but I think its a poor decision. There's hardly any momentum in the EPL with all the international breaks as things stand at present. Suppose the only good thing to come out of this is the split over a fortnight.

Brady had a purple patch just before he got injured. IMO he's been very inconsistent throughout his career. That said, I believe this lad could become a very good wing back if we were, dare I say it, change the system, to playing the modern way with 3 CB's.

I think Sam can feel a little aggrieved at the lack of match time he's had this season. I may be in the minority but I'd certainly play him before Wood. If we are to bring in a quality No10, then for me Voksey would be the ideal partner.

Problem is we then have to give the rest of our key men and any new signings 50 grand a week. I'd put JBG in the same bracket as Ben Mee as one of our first names on the team sheet.
