Re: Sky & TNT retain Premier League rights
The bubble hasn't burst but TV income has definitely peaked. The only option is to give more and more games away to try and keep the same money coming in. The 'unofficial' streaming services were inevitably going to hit the value of these deals eventually.

Couldn’t care less about Newcastle but VAR has made a North East Counties League match more enjoyable and exciting to watch than a top end Champions League game.
It’s like there’s two different sports now and I know which one I prefer.

Re: Price if a pint where you live
There’s a pub in our town in South Yorkshire where you can still get a pint for £1.60. A few yards away there’s a bar where it’s £6 for a lager. All depends on your clientele I guess. I like both places, the cheap pub isn’t rough, just an old man type pub where they have horse racing on all day. Rem...

He seems a top guy, very popular in Sheffield and loves football at any level despite playing right at the top. But even though he was poor as a manager for us, it could have been worse. Got really lucky with Andy Payton falling out with his Huddersfield manager mid-season. Without that, we'd have b...

True enough, John. And I know I'm boring myself as well as everyone else saying this, but the idea that 'VAR isn't the problem, it's the people running it' is absolutely ridiculous. You're literally saying 'it's not the Video Assistant Referee that's the problem, it's the Video Assistant Referee'. A...

I would be interested in the findings as how/why accents change The scouse accent in particular. It's so exaggerated now, compared to 30 years ago. Watch any old footage of Liverpudlians being interviewed and it's so much softer than how they speak today. Perhaps a deliberate show of identity. (Not...

Mine won't be going on. I have air source and it is horrendous.
