Chris Wood admitted he was not motivated wearing a Claret shirt. No other conclusion than that £25,000,000 Was a great outcome. That his replacenent was no better is another issue. I can only reflect to that embarrassing shameful performance at Norwich. We were hitting balls in the direction of WW w...

We will never replace them but hopefully players with different qualities will be needed. We are going to defend in a different way that doesnt invite the opposition up to the edge of our box. To be fair not a bad metaphor whoever wrote it. Perhaps the framework would have continued to be effective if we had brought younger players into it. But the new owners rightly or wrongly brought in players who met their business model and who apparently SD would not adapt his framework to.

15 games. 5 wins, 5 draws 5 defeats to get 40 and be sure. Tight but do-able. We have City, Chelsea and Spurs away to use up 3 of the 5 defeats. Watford and Norwich will go but eighteenth place could be close to the 40.

If Dyche is livid at Newcastle maybe that will motivate him to squeeze every pound out of Pace in order to fund either a last ditch fight to stay up or a
really strong squad to come back up. He and the club will have identified their targets.
