Re: Eddie Howe in Newcastle talks
Ah your referring to some of the players he signed then? Which really makes his record and performance for us much worse then in context with such talent at his disposal. He had more important stuff going on in his life than Burnley, we all know that and the majority of us can accept it because we'...

Re: Matt Lowton
Yeah you're already busy talking him and his career to date down, I can see it. He won't replace Lowton yet, but what he does is push Lowton to perform consistently, which is good for us because Lowton does have a tendency to drop in form every season. Like I've said you're just setting your stall o...

Re: Eddie Howe in Newcastle talks
Why replace Bruce and replace with Howe. He was an abject failure in my eyes for his time with us. Slow boring football we were sliding down the table fast. Hope they appoint him though as I’m certain they won’t survive his first 6 months in charge. He also helped lay the foundations for our progre...

He was told he was leaving prior to the game, he still took charge of it and asked the players to do him proud..
Credit to him for that.

Yes it does, but he's still got to get them working and pulling in the same direction, something that's clearly missing at places like Norwich and Newcastle

Re: David Moyes joins the 1,000th game manager club
I seem to recall posters on here neither rating or wanting him here. Garbage at Sunderland, looked a busted flush. Sociedad didn't go well for him either Then West Ham decided he wasn't the man to take them forward and didn't offer him a new contract. Seemed to be in terminal decline as manager, bu...

Re: Eddie Howe in Newcastle talks
This is going to depend on the owners long term plans. They could end up going down and would need a manager with championship experience, which he has. He's also got experience of being in a relegation fight. No compo to pay, he had Bournemouth playing good attacking football, if we ignore the hole...

Logistically it would make sense having put some thought into jt Newcastle's closest away game is Leeds isn't it? A large chunk of their away games will be across the Midlands and south east. The North west is easily accessible from London anyway. It would certainly cut a lot of travel time for the ...

Re: Newcastle future plan
This was mooted by Sunderland a few years ago I think, but it didn't go any further than an idea. It was also something done by Anzhi Makhachkala, but their stadium was in a dodgy place tbh. Yes the purists will get upset by this proposal, but assuming the traveling doesn't affect the players, then ...

That's probably, and rightly, the long term aim.
Buy, grow and sell on with the next one lined up to replace him.
Like we did with Keane and Tarks replacing him, we just didn't have a Tarks replacement so we lost out on big money last year.
