He has been outstanding in the last few games. I must admit that I did have my doubts at first but every credit to him, he has really improved.

We can talk positively all night about some of players, and I agree, some are looking OK. But at the end of the day we have an attack that just about occasionally scores one goal playing in front of a defence that requires at least three. That is pretty negative for any team.

I am not sure whether the current team is better than last seasons, its different for sure. The worrying thing for me is that there is doubt from our supporters if we are better or not after investing £100 million.

If the board are not at least considering the sacking of Kompany I would be amazed.

Many years ago I brewed my own beer. I had two barrels and 120 bottles on the go. I think if you make sure everything is sterilised snd you follow the instructions you should be OK. You will need to provide some heat for initial brewing and I would recommend crown tops instead of the plastic bottles...

I think having Maatsen on the same wing last season helped him a lot. Not sure if that explains his perceived lack of form after the world Cup. There is definitely talent in him, maybe the step up has dented his confidence, but I doubt we have seen the back of him just yet.

I would hope the pursuit of 'young talented Belgians' is suspended and we bring in experienced defenders, midfielders and a striker. Probably loans and probably too late, but you have to live in hope.

I agree with the report comments about our defending. This was illustrated perfectly in the first half when Koleosho ran into their penalty area and was tackled superbly by one of Crystal Palaces defenders, the comparison with how we didn't deal with Schlup was all too depressingly obvious.

Whe you spend £100 during the close season approaching a return to the Premier league and none of it is for a striker, then we shouldn't be surprised on a lack of goals.
