Re: BFC TRANSFER NEWS Jan 2020(MUST CONTAIN LINK)

If only we had a midfielder who could run, eh, Boysie? Never mind. Joking apart - last night showed why we don't need to get carried away in the transfer market, and why its so difficult to improve on what we've got - but it also gave us a platform to offer players confidence they're signing up for...

best two midfielders of the last 20 years - Xavi and Iniesta, not much pace but never gave the ball away. You definitely didn't see Westwood struggle against Maddison fella. We dealt with Maddison pretty well. But in any event, that would be nothing to do with legs, in either case. That's a result of those two - and especially the increasingly impressive Grealish - being better players. Which is why bo...

Nothing wrong with the legs of a 29 year old whatsoever. See Westwood for example. As for the wages point - there's some truth in that, but only if you're saving material sums of money by buying younger players. Not sure that's true in the current market. The point about what Howe did is all very w...

The age thing is nonsense. Most clubs work on the basis that their team turns over across around about a three year cycle (admittedly, this is not true for us recently, but even under Dyche it held until about 12 months ago). In three years time, Allen will be 32 - which is rarely too old. If we si...
