A lot seems to depend upon what you were used to enjoying most before the lockdown but are now temporarily unable to. Luckily for me, not too much has had to change. Sometimes though I do have to give myself a kick in the pants: I have a friend who had a double mastectomy a few months ago; the opera...

Since 1978 I've travelled up from the South to the place of misery 4 or 5 times: - sometimes stayed over, before or after depending on kick off time, sometimes driven home same evening/night. - sometimes travelling there on the enforced and dilapidated noddy bus, - the match experience: grim. Fred Smith holds a special memory for me. As a boy in the south east my mum or dad would take me to see Burnley play in London from time to time. I had never been to Lancashire until 1969, when, during a family holiday in Derbyshire, I persuaded my dad to take me to Turf Moor. It was a home match ag...

Inevitably, we're focusing mainly on the mis-timed tackle that led to the penalty. But take a look at what Ben decides to do as Spurs take possession and break forward: Charlie's galloped upfield for an overlap that breaks down due to Jay's heavy first touch. Initially Ben appears to have moved over...

Re: Who starts next week, wood or vydra.??
People define "best striker at the club" in different ways. Chris Wood is usually pretty lethal in the six yard box (usually, not always, as he can be surprisingly wasteful). But for a side that scores a lot of goals from set pieces he's probably going to get the nod over a player like Matej Vydra e...

Re: Arsène Wenger uses Fifa role to propose new offside law
Most of the other laws of the game that are to do with a player's position are measured on where the player's feet are; other parts of the body are ignored. For example encroachment is usually measured on where the player's feet are, not their protruding arm, shoulder or, in Matthew Le Tissier's cas...

Ben Mee's main strength is his ariel ability.
