Surprised he had the match fitness to perform at that level. He basically hasn’t played competitive football since before lockdown and only signed for Newcastle a couple of weeks ago so has had a limited pre season (unless he was already training with them before he officially signed).

While there is no official budget, Dyche and the recruitment team must be provided with some financial parameters that they have to work within otherwise how would they know what pond to fish in?
