It’s pointless banging on about how well we play and how we deserve this and that when in reality we are having to score at least two a game to get at least a point. The defensive line that finished today would struggle in League 1.

Also did the tour today with my 12 year old son. It was Veronica and Sean on the one we went on and a great look back on our history and developments to the ground.

Of the 6 games played in December we have kept 2 clean sheets and only conceded 1 goal in two other games. The most we have conceded in a game is 2 including potential champions Liverpool. We concede on average 2 a game until that problem is addressed and we start to keep clean sheets more regularly there isn’t much chance of staying up.

Agree with Amdouni he’s obviously a talented player but he drifts in and out of games and has missed a few key chances now. I don’t think the team is going to change much from now until the end of season barring injuries and suspensions despite us conceding so many goals and not scoring many.

He’s not been great so far this season but still think he’s got all the attributes to be a top defender. Hopefully he’ll be partnered next to a solid centre half in Ekdal tomorrow and for the foreseeable future.

Not that is made much difference but he let them block a free kick from around 3 yards away when Brownhill tried to make a quick pass and let the game carry on. He’s yet another poor ref.
