Sorry for your loss. I’m on my 16th dog (I previously had packs of rescues)… sadly it never gets any better and miss each one daily; every one had a different personality. It's a very strange feeling, I'm numb. This was expected, it's part of life, and her age being a factor I was preparing myself for it, but now it's happened I can't help but just think how 17+ years isn't enough time. She's at peace now and it was her time to go, it's just a gut punch.

The amount of people I know on long-term sick, who have never officially worked but are well enough for side hustles is absolutely mindblowing...
