Re: Whitstable bay.
May be Whitstable Bay but I think it is brewed in Maidstone. I lived in Whitstable for 31 years but moved to Herne Bay as property prices were cheaper there. Used to do guided tours around Whitstable with foreign students - great fun and i airways pointed out the beach but that sold for £250,000 - r...

Re: County Championship - are we ready?
A great day for the Red Rose - how good will depend on what happens when Kent bat. Batting was pretty easy and it was noticeable how quiet the Kent side were considering this was their first home game of the season. I would hope that our bowlers have more appetite for the game than the Kent ones had.

Re: County Championship - are we ready?
Villas is trying to be positive but at the moment he is a bit like a loose cannon - bowlers not troubling the batsmen but he could give his wicket away if he is not careful. Home crowd very quiet at the moment and 207 for 3 looks a lot better than 80 for 3.

They both gave 50s now and are approaching a hundred partnership. Got to admire Darren Stevens though - approaching 46 years old and still playing top level cricket. Been a great signing for Kent when Leicestershire thought he was past it.

Re: County Championship - are we ready?
Got my ticket for the first day at Canterbury (only a 7 mile journey) - just need to decide if I wear a Lancs shirt or a Burnley one. There was a two day match at Canterbury last week but not much okay on second day. Lancs seem to have a pretty reasonable squad and if Jimmy plays we will always have...

Re: MIGHTY CLARETS versus Citizens
Think it is time to leave the big league behind - having spent most of my time watching Burnley in division 3 & 4 it was fantastic to see us reach the premier league and punch above our weight. Having said that we just cannot compete with the majority of clubs in this league abs with 5 substitutes t...

Dyche often talks about fine margins abs as good a finish as Maddison’s was the circumstances behind it could have been so different if Jay Rod had got to the long clearance before their keeper. Unfortunately Vardy does seem to enjoy playing against us (and scoring) but by the time he scored we were...

Being an exiled Claret I don’t get to the games but the hope, despair, the prude, the passion never dwindles.
