You might want to include the little matter of the end of the maximum wage into those statistics. It could have been the death knell for Burnley. It very nearly was. I feared the worst when I saw the title of the thread, and sadly I wasn't wrong.

I had many good chats with Barrie when I used to travel with the SC. A really top bloke who was always willing to help, but at the same time, not afraid to speak his mind when he needed to.
