Re: Non league

Had a look through the counties results, Droylsden played their first competitive game since 2000 which had a crowd of 955. The club folded during the first lockdown. I think the IoM tourist board might subsidise travel and accommodation for the opposition. We were going to go when Ramsbottom play, ...

I recall Stan being annoyed at Warnock when he reported wore a Sheffield United tie to work at Bury and thought that might have been the spark. More realistic is that most people develop a dislike for Warnock after their first meeting with him. When Warnock was manager of Bury, he did his pos...

I think there's a lot of behind the scenes trouble at most non league clubs. When clubs are run by volunteers and players have agents, dragging every last penny out, it's not a good mix. That certainly won’t be the case at Rammy, cannot for a moment think that the chairman would entertain an agent....

Yes, quite a few. I learned while I was home, been a lot of behind the scenes trouble at Rammy Utd over the last few years. It's the same old sht Barney. It won't change. Born in Bury, still live in Bury. Was taken to my first game aged 5 in 1977. My parents moved from Southport to Bury in the 60s and I believe my dad started following the Clarets as they were the top local side and the next door neighbour was an avid Claret.

Muric for me. He had a dreadful time at Forest last season and started very shakily for ourselves. He was trying too hard to "force" his confidence and over-complicating things. As the season progressed and we got better at our passing game, he simplified a lot of what he did and we tightened up. A...

From the TV, there were a few borderline yellow card fouls by Sunderland players in the first half on Tella, Zaroury and Benson, just a talking to. Cullen doesn’t seem to commit a foul, yellow card. Doesn’t seem to be a ref that allows a game to have a decent tempo.
