Re: ARTICLE: End of an era as Marney departs
Thanks for your piece on Dean Marney. He has been a good player for our club and has never posed any problems for our managers, as far as we know. Good luck Deano and thank you for your efforts for our club. We wish you all the best for the remainder of your career.

I lived at120 Brunshaw Rd. which was 4 houses up from the Turf. We lived there when I was pre-school and I used to wait by the gate for Tommy Cummings to come past and say hello. In 1967/8 I took an FA coaching course in Blackpool, as I was based in Preston at Hutton Grammar School. The course began with Tony Waiters but he got a job in N. America and so Jimmy Armfield took over as he had just lost his job with Leeds. He was a revelation! Quietly, he took charge of the group...

Haven't really rated him so far at Hull - not as good as his promoting videos suggested! We have better in JBG and Brady.
If we could get Tom Cairney to provide some creativity in midfield, combined with hard work then that would be money well spent.

I have always advocated the yellow strip - it was mentioned on here recently that it is the most instantly recognised colour.
High visibility clothing is yellow and when milliseconds are involved in sport it proves its worth. Furthermore, I find it an attractive kit when combined with claret.
