Very difficult to understand why the Venkys are throwing away their money in this Project. As things stand and for the foreseeable future Rovers dont look like getting promoted. As mentioned, a lot of those players were great at lower League level but would have struggled in the top flight ... Steve Davis was great but lacked a yard or two of pace, Super John had pace, but close control was not his forte ... others were either past their best, lacked consistancy or occasion...
