Re: Olympic Fairness

In answer to the OP, no. Should the same rules apply across all sports? I'm not so sure. There of course a lot of sports where strength is a significant performance factor and for these I would say the same as this case. There are a number of sports where I don't believe physical strength makes any ...

And no doubt we'll continue. What's your point? Fairly obvious. We're as bad, if not worse for it. May be a case that foreign refs have been dealing with it for longer and are less susceptible to being conned so our players don't get away with it in internationals like they do every week in the PL.

Southgate is never going to play without 2 holding midfielders, I mean he wasn't brave enough to do it at home to Scotland - I dread to think what formation he would play against someone like France Pickford Chilwell Stones Maguire Mings Walker Trippier Henderson Rice Philips Kane Kane? Steady now.

Foden faced the same issue McNeil faces, the only threat is far easier to nullify. Which is why Mount should have gone off and Grealish should have come on at half time I don't agree with that unless one of Rice or Phillips should have been hooked for another forward as well to change the formation.
