I guess 'we cheated so we could make more money' isn't the sound defence they thought it was.
Should be relegated for that alone.
Agreed, no deterrent to any club knowing the are going to end up mid table or above. You could argue at around 2m a league place it is almost encouraging it.

Only really stupid people thought there was any in truth in this imaginary contract clause that he had demanded he played and we agreed.
Only the Kosovan mafia lies from lowbank trumped it.

Gone quiet this season funnily enough. They can always put a request in through the FAB to have everyones points reduced again so those who decided not to bother when the team is struggling have the same points as those who continue to go and support if they fall behind so no real incentive for the...

Interesting that he kept picking Phillips while sat on City's bench with the stupid argument he had never let England down so he gets picked made by Southgate, then when he is playing for a club he gets dropped and told his club form isn't currently good enough.

Kick opposition, cheat con Luton are definitely a team to admire? You are making yourself look a bit daft with this constant stance of what Luton are. It is ok to accept that a team expected to come bottom does better than everyone thought. To keep labelling them as you do just shows a lack of eithe...

I don’t disagree with you on this however we know for a fact that a 16yr old kid from Birmingham made the exact same requests to Man Utd and managed to get Dortmund to agree to the demands Strange then that when he went to Dortmund he featured in roughly half the game time that season he joined, wh...

Typical claretinlimboland. Why do you always persist veering off & bringing non relevant topics into the debate to discredit me. I'd love to hear why you think Trafford & his agent wouldn't force a strong negotiating hand onto a weak club desperate for his signature after losing out on another goal...

What a ballache. Wanted 7 tickets together, would only let me buy 6. Went to buy the 7th in another transaction and someone had bought leaving two free next to us. I couldn't buy that seat as it left one on it's own. Had to buy a single on the row behind That is your punishment for inflicting 90 mi...

The more you analyse our dealings from last summer, the more ridiculous they seem. The Championship is ranked as the 11th most difficult league in the world, higher than the top flight in Belgium (which was ranked 13th). League One is ranked as the 28th best league in the world. What made anyone be...

Clubs regularly do when backed into a corner as we were after missing out on BV traffords negotiating hand couldn't have been stronger at that time. Some clubs will cave in to extraordinary demands if they are desperate enough to secure a player. It's openly obvious to me that such a strong possibi...

It amazes me how quickly people dismiss the concept of young players signing with the promise of first team minutes. It happens regularly. In a recent episode of The Overlap, OGS is a guest and speaks about Jude Bellingham being in the building but they can’t get the deal finalised as his agent was...

You would have to be even more daft to not realise that Woodleyclaret is not having a go at Ramsey personally in the post you have queried or even his potential but at the actual price we paid!... Hence the reference to 'pound for pound' lol... No other team would have paid anywhere near what we pa...

It's a long list of our worst signings but pound for pound and based on appearances Tressor and Ramsey must be in the top 10 You would have to be a bit daft to continually hammer a 21 yr old in his first year at a new club, playing at a new level but don't let that stop you slating Ramsey at any ch...

So we sign a keeper and are told he has to play and we agree. We then pay a fee to help man City possibly escape any punishment with FFP by signing him, you can imagine Kompany going to the board and saying I need to help out the richest club in the world by signing a player from them. We have also ...

I think we have the wealthiest squad value in the championship. I suspect we will make sales worth approx 70m-80m and bring circa 40m of talent in again similar to last time. That should make us a country mile the most wealthy and I suspect at approx them sums we will be the biggest spenders by som...

Newcastle Claret has posted an opinion, that's what everyone does.
No, I just said name some, I mean if half the board are doing exactly the same surely you can remember 2 or 3 doing so

Why don’t you stop twisting things. Last season and this season are completely different. We are one of the worst premier league sides ever that’s a fact. Yeah we started slowly and West Ham scored early on but as we made our way back to the centre circle we realised the Chairman had a suit on and well everything just clicked and we ran out comfortable winners

I’ll tell you what, when we won the league in 1960 the fans didn’t turn up to games in replica kits, tracksuit tops, baseball caps, woolly hats etc. It’s about time we took a long hard look at ourselves as fans in my opinion. Apparently adults in football shirts is quite a smart look, especially if...

Politicians wear suits.
I can't think of a better example of the dressing formal (especially to a football match) is a nonsense rather a necessity to impress others. Still it gives some a bit more ammo to have a go at.

Do you mean to play in goal ?
If anyone says yes to this then at least others know their opinions on anything football can be ignored
