I was really impressed with him at times towards the end of last season in the middle bit I’m not sure how he’s getting back into that position at the moment. Pope 6
Lowton 7
Long 7
Tarkowski 8*
Taylor 7
Gudmundsson 4
Brownhill 7
Westwood 7
McNeil 4
Barnes 5
Wood 6

A decent enough performance but our lack of goals continues to be a massive worry. Our wide players are just not contributing at the moment and it’s costing us massively.

Might regret this after twenty minutes as they are a good side on their day but the last two games against them at the Turf have been 2-1 and 1-1.

Feels like a football night tonight. Cold night under the lights on the Turf. Depressing in so many ways. I wouldn’t have predicted many kind words for Burnley from Mourinho ever again after he lost the plot at Stamford Bridge all those years ago. I notice he backed us for a top half finish as well.

I know you can't, I'm just explaining what I think was the reasoning behind the decision. Quite possibly it should have been a red card, but I doubt it was missed by both the referee and VAR, I'm sure they saw it, reviewed it and decided it wasn't violent conduct so not a red card.
Isn’t that the point? They viewed it as not violent conduct?
