For Burnley to lose arguably the best midfielder in a generation who clearly reciprocated the high regard he was held in in the circumstances he left is a very Burnley FC thing to happen. A Clarets supporters life is never an easy one.

Does anybody else remember folk being stood at the side of the pitch towards the end of the game and somebody making out they were going to trip one of orients players up as he went speeding down the right wing? Not sure if my memory created that one in the meantime.

You've forgotten to account for voter turnout by age group. I believe turnout was significantly higher in higher age bands, which undermines your analysis.
