Re: Downing St Press Conference

Labour's fight has to be on a constituency-by-constituency basis, that has to be their best tactic. Get away from the cult of personality which crept into politics and do it based upon a nationally good manifesto combined with local knowledge/passion. After all, constituents are voting for their MP,...

Re: Downing St Press Conference

Perfect opportunity for Theresa May to tear up the election pledges Cameron made and set a truly post-brexit manifesto. Dismantling of the NHS and selling it off to private interests Removal of the triple lock on pensions Expedite gerrymandering of constituency boundaries to favour the Tories Contin...

Re: Referee confirmed for Manchester United game

I hadn't realised Dean refereed the derby in December, but Dean was initially given the FA Cup Final in 2006, but then removed as Liverpool were involved. There must have been an active barring in place to mean that he didn't then ref either Liverpool or Everton (mainstays in the PL in that period) ...

Re: Referee confirmed for Manchester United game

Mike Dean is a Tranmere fan from the Wirral, but he can't ref Liverpool or Everton games. Strange that the rule doesn't apply to Taylor.

Re: Second Half Of The Season

The away form is still dreadful though. 3 points from 9 games is dreadful, bearing in mind 4 of those games were against the bottom 4.

Re: Congratulations Brighton

I can see Stockdale staying with them, despite being out of contract. He's 31, and it's the one place he's been able to get regular starts and prove he's actually a good goalkeeper.

I think if Leeds were getting promoted he'd be seriously looking at getting a move there though. Massive Leeds fan.

Re: Congratulations Brighton

We have to remember that for all the glory hunters who've tagged on to them since the move to the new stadium, they used to get crowds very similar to ours back in the 90s, before the owners sold the Goldstone. A hardcore of fans then had to endure the equivalent of Burnley playing on the pitch at B...

Re: Who will remain and what will be required?

I'd love us to go all out to sign Moussa Dembele from Celtic this summer.

Only 20, but looks a real prospect.
