Re: ‘Grexit’ and gun toting Greek football club owners
I lived on Crete for a few years and went to a local derby between Aghios Nikolaos and Elounda (non league level). It scared the hell out of my wife. Bottles being thrown in the crowd and onto the pitch and the match temporarily stopped after a flare set fire to the artificial turf. Armed police wer...

You will always get the best singing/chanting from a standing area, synchronised clapping too. Behind the goals following the Clarets away in the lower divisions was always enjoyable though obviously not the same as now.

There's nothing wrong with non footie topics, in fact they help keep the forum alive out of season, it's just the vitriol that political and religious topics seem to engender that makes me feel they should be banned, they are counter productive and can turn fans away from the forum. Also sprach Zara...

I'm in favour of the 'split', most other football boards do this, but not at all in support of keeping it football only. When you go to a game with mates do you ONLY talk football? I don't. Just a thought. Fair comment, but when your with your mates the argument rarely gets vitriolic, on here it do...

Re: Potential Message Board Changes
I'd ban political and religious threads as they do nothing but sow discontent and the threads tend to get very abusive. Otherwise keep it as it is. Creating different subsections doesn't do a lot because if you use the quick menu to check recent posts they all appear together anyway. Thanks for the ...

The brexit threads on non political forums should be banned, they sow so much dissension and generate bad feeling, nobody knows what's fake news or stats or what is real. Slag each other off on FB which seems the norm now and let's get on with football.
