Re: Most successful position changes
Luton goalscoring right back called Malcolm Macdonald. Leeds tricky left winger Terry Cooper to wing back or in those days, overlapping left back. Mike England temporary move from centre half to centre forward. Ouch. This was at a time when many clubs would send their centre halves up front for the ...

Re: Don’t panic
Thought we played well on Tuesday but Leicester were the stronger team. I think the disallowed goal was the changing point. Knocked us back and picked them up. Cornet played his best game since returning from Africa but still needs to step up another level or two. I thought Jack Cork needed a rest a...

Re: Huge point
Every single game is a ‘six pointer’ but to damage a direct rival is of course even more satisfying in some respects. At the moment we shouldn’t get too carried away with either wins or losses. We will lose more games between now and the end of the season, so I would like to ask the negative critics...

I agree that he was great. Didn’t say anything else. He would be able to shine even brighter if passes were made to his left side, just as Ben Mee would require one less touch if passes to him were to his stronger side a little more often. I’m only talking about those times when the man making the p...

Re: Let’s look at where we might improve even further!
Again, I’m not being a critic, just looking at some areas where we might continue to improve. Onwards and upwards. I’m still backing us, literally, to finish in the top half. I still think we could finish between 10th and 14th.

Well, I’m happy to be a happy clapper, but it doesn’t mean we can’t look at a great performance and still accept there are still individual aspects of that performance that could benefit from a little tweak here and there. Great individual performances all round. I don’t criticise on the back of a p...

Re: Let’s look at where we might improve even further!
Second half Dwight was able to go past their defenders on the outside which led to several dangerous crosses which on another day could have produced a goal or two. Ashley Barnes is also looking more like his old self. Just has that look about him that he has rediscovered some confidence. Hope that ...

Re: Let’s look at where we might improve even further!
I thought he played his best game for some time, but on a going night for him it was a shame that he couldn’t receive the ball facing their defenders. There was a brief spell where each touch from Dwight resulted in him carrying the ball across the pitch looking for better options. This meant that h...

For those who take notes, you will know that I’m a positive fan. With that in mind I want to look at an area that slowed us down and reduced our efficiency during the game. Great to see Dwight playing further forward in Maxwel’s role (perhaps). Two things happened a lot in the first half. Nearly eve...

We weren’t comparing Wout to any other players though were we? As someone said he was some way off being the worst player. Give the guy a few games to settle in before hanging him out to dry. If every player at every club in the premier league tried the maximum possible in every game played, at the end of the season 3 clubs would still be relegated. Being in the bottom 3 after 17 games is not proof that players are not trying.

Stay for as long as he wants. His critics know nothing. Wonder how many of them have sung his praises previously. With the experience he has gained here he is probably a much better manager now, maturing like a fine wine. Unfortunately it will never be close to a level playing field here.

I think the Premier League should insist that all 20 clubs, should make all squad players available so that 11 changes can be made from the previous game if needs be. It seems to work in Cup games.

Vegas, UWE was pronounced UVAY. UWE Seeler once scored a great headed goal with his back to goal and Noble scored some great headed goals. Not sure if he scored a similar one to Seeler or almost scored a similar one but once the name was linked it certainly stuck.
