Was he? They never checked that, other than to say, ..."and Grealish was onside" It was possibly marginal. Ex-players very rarely offer revealing and interesting insights into what it’s like to play football, well okay, they can be occasionally interesting, but they are relied on far too readily.
I’d rather listen to a football journalist that can articulate his (or her) thoughts.
