Re: ARTICLE: Promotion rivals sign Thomas
I had forgotten that Thomas was only 21 year old. What a player. Incredible that we seemed to improve without him after selling him to our direct competitors QPR, something that would repeat when we sold Austin to the same club who were again our direct competitors in effectively the same league man...

Re: ARTICLE: Match of the Day captures Taffy’s stunning winner
I was at the game and remember the home crowd getting over excited about Willie Henderson but he really did nothing to threaten us. The Leighton James goal was a beauty. A strange thing happened when I was there. One of my 'acquaintances' said he had come prepared in case there was any 'aggro'. I as...

One thing the COVID denial theorists never explain is if we just abandon all measures and allow the virus to spread in the community, what do we do when all of the hospitals and NHS system gets overrun with people suffering from the disease?

Good to see and fair play to the groups that have put this together. I just worry that this proposal will gather momentum as many of the lower tier clubs start to get desperate and lose money.

I must admit that all of this is turning me off football, a game I have loved since I was a small boy. I did not think we would keep all of Pope, McNeil and Tarkowski at the end of this transfer window. I, like many others, am very disappointed with our own additions but this is a real plus for the club in what could be a very difficult season for us.

I think as soon as another job crops up that he finds appropriate for his 'next steps' he will be off. The one that worries me is the Forest situation where they are bound to be on the verge of sacking their manager after a disastrous start.

The Puritan's cancelled it under Cromwell's rule because people were enjoying, 'carnal and sensual delights'. That suggests that there must have been some interesting Christmas party games in that period.

My granddaughters both started school again last week. The school had all the precautions, from parents/grandparents not gathering at gates, plenty of hand washing, social distancing, hand sanitizing, etc., etc.
They both have colds now - how does that work?

I vaguely remember the Preston match. I also went to Hull on the train and the ease of getting off the train and straight into the train, seemed to be on there for waiting for the game to start, may have been wrong.
