Please does anyone know if Bury Market is stll open? I heard it was closing to be done-up and I'm planning to take Hop Sing there for a treat - we like to watch the bacon-slicer on the meat stall.

Sheffield not at their best but still tough and quick in part. Significant difference was our defence getting stuck in and winning lots in the air instead of getting knocked about.

Re: Onside Ref! Goal!
Agreed - back then to stay onside you had to stay back "behind". They only changed it to see more goals. Have been chasing sensationalism ever since. Back then I was playing at Centre Forward and the ref pulled me for offside when I knew I'd defo held back, however the ref was way back himself and ...

Re: Onside Ref! Goal!
Until about 1990, the law was that in front is offside, level is offside, behind is onside. That was the year they changed it to level is onside, the stated aim (specifically mentioned in the laws) was to give attackers an advantage. What they need to do is to apply the law as it is applied in the ...

If you convert the roof into something that is non-translucent, then even if its original construction was exempt from building regulation control under the gdo, putting the solid roof on will mean the whole lot suddenly needs building regulation consent. Building yes but Planning no. That's easy.

They still have expensive overheads, as I stated in my post. Also, nobody is going to get rich running a bar if their cost price is £2.00 a pop. Most of these places, especially the good ones, are run on love, rather than any hopes of a prosperous early retirement. Anyways, you pay your money and t...

Re: Price if a pint where you live
So they buy at £2.00 a pint? Don't you realise they have to pay rent, rates, heating bills, staff wages, and taxes, all while trying to make a profit? Hardley robbers in my opinion, unless you expect them to run their business for nowt while eating out of bins and sleeping rough. Traditional pubs/b...

New, low cost pubs irk me - mostly in old shops. They buy a firkin for about £130 to 140, get 70 ish pints out of it. Easy to calculate who the robbers are.

No I'd of given it Colwill still, he can't get experience without playing and we can't go in to a major tournament with Trippier at left back or even a backup left back simple as that. Euro 2024 should a standout tournament but feel it could be the biggest let down of the last 20 years we Southgate...
