It depends on the situation whether you've got family, you hardly have freedom anyway if you have bills & mouths to feed or tied to a dead end job you despise but need to continue with. It can turn your life around for the better if you make most of the opportunities afforded, I wouldn't be opposed...

My TV is 50" and I sit 2.8m away from it. I find that fine. I have it at eye level my eye in line with its centre. With Virgin Media, if you are on a contract, the basic contract - (broadband, land line, TV) is the contract but additions, which can be added at anytime such as Sky Sports, are not, so one month's notice can be given to cancel these. I prefer a more mathematical method - storm 2024-1, 2024-2 etc.. Or you could extend it to a whole date when it first hits the UK or is discovered - storm 2024-1-2 or whatever.
