Re: REPORT: Much improved at Anfield but another defeat
Whoever continues to plan us defending set pieces can't be much use. Time and time again we end up with one of our midgets marking giants, yet Jota gets a free header. Just watch what Brownhill does for their first goal. He ends up marking VVD, well trying. It's really poor and has been ever since D...

I think it's about time for some of this Board's contributors to realise what the constant calls to get rid of VK mean for our financial future. We can't afford to sack him and his massive staffing set up. He's responsible for much of our current woes, but we and he need him to be here next year to ...

Re: Did we change too much or too little?
I quite like Trafford and think he will become a top keeper in time and certainly should continue being first choice, but we should have prioritised other areas. Ditto, we didnt need all those wingers, we needed 2 full backs and a dcm to take over from Corky, including a bit of experience. We should...

There's one thing for certain. If we try and play Liverpool and Arsenal without 3 proper central midfielders we'll get thumped.

Re: Stability or Tinkering
Whilst there has been plenty of chopping and changing in the back line, the lack of change in midfield appears to have had just as bad an impact. Too many passengers and not enough players willing the grab the game by the scruff of it's neck. Time for Cullen to come back in for Amdouni and sure the...

It's very straightforward. We signed far too many wingers ( at the expense of full backs and a cm bruiser). We've chopped and changed the starting 11 and subs in a poor attempt to keep all those wingers and Ramsey happy, which has backfired massively.

How do you know it’s prioritising though, if we have a list of positions we need it might just the the case that a winger has been made available first, we might have our full back targets but a selling club might be waiting for other targets before letting players leave. It’s not as simple as just...

Great talent, but another midget. Also, not a priority position atm. Comes below:-
A commanding cb
2 full backs
A defensive centre midfielder
A central striker
All/most tall, quick and strong.

As I have said previously, we'll get the best of him when we play 433. With him in the old Hazard role. That means just 1 proper winger. Have to disagree with this. Maatsen was weak defensively (great going forward). We need solidity ant the back. THB was too slow for the Prem imo and wouldn’t have massively improved our defensive unit imo. Given City want £20m for him, I’d much rather we give O’Shea the experience, who I think is d...

Certainly explains why he's not been playing and very rarely on the bench. If that was to be the case until June, then top dollar for 'selling' him is now. Same goes for Anass sadly.

Think people are forgetting that players will probably have release clauses, especially if we go down. So we may struggle to keep Fossy, Luca and Wilson in particular. Don't forget there's the whole of Europe for them to go.

The main reason to remain positive is Foster. Makes a massive difference. Pace, strength and getting a good conversion rate.
Of course we are more likely to go down, but in Trafford, Foster, Amdouni, LK and Odobert We have good assets. Next time we need to sort the back 4 and defensive midfield.
