Think we'll sign Hugill, Robinson and a few other kno-bender players with the spare change we've got down the back of our sofas.
We can then stick them in the u23 development team, get them to wash our multi millionaire first team players ferraris and then maybe loan them out to the lashers.

Don't disagree with that at all - we will need to do that if we want to be established in this league I`m sure this is the approach the club is going to follow. In the context of the magnitude of the game, and the fact that both goals were scored into our own fans I cannot remember Burnley (or any other team come to think of it) scoring 2 better quality goals than we did that night.
Right up there with the best games ever as a Burnley fan.

One massive difference between Newcastle and Burnley is the size of the Wage bill. In the next set of accounts to be released for each club the figures will be £115m and £45m respectively. Newcastle have tried to run with the big boys and failed whilst we have been prudent and succeeded. What`s the...

Like us then...... we aren't badly run, are we? Compare Newcastle and Sunderland's relegation, a massive difference. Similar to us and QPR in 14/15. Used transferleague.co.uk and the transfer fees on here are much closer aligned to what I remember and also reflect newspaper reports at the time. Not sure whether Vertonghen is better than Stones but I agree on Alderweireld (if he gets back to last seasons form as he`s been injured most of this season). I`ve checked it now on a better site - as said their record transfer is definitely still Owen at £16m. They did spend a lot in that window though and sold hardly anyone so net spend was about £70m. However, after being relegated in the next transfer window he recouped a lot of that and sold the like...

Hernandez will be on minimum £100k a week and no doubt a ridiculous goal bonus on top.
He's already picked up a couple of injuries this year.
IMHO absolutely zero chance of him coming to Burnley - which personally I'm glad about.
