He’s put us in a bit of a predicament in that we have underinvested in the squad for years to ensure a profit was made. Millions in the bank isn’t the way forward in football. Good investment in all areas is far more important to grow the business.

Gudmundsson excellent, McNeil far too safe, wood and Vydra awful. Cornet looks our only goalscorer these days. What’s happened to wood, he is miles off it. I’m a big fan of his but he’s ******* awful at the moment.

Our central midfielders aren’t bad. We play with 2 in there which makes them look like they are overrun at times, so it would be nice to have a big strong athletic presence but that would cost a few quid.
