Re: Only saw him once
Was he the ex boxer? Once saw him while playing pitch and putt at Lytham. My mate told me who he was. We didn’t have a go at him about his slow play :) Well that's a coincidence. I only saw him once and it was on pitch and putt at Lytham. Seemed a nice guy with a nod and smile for anyone going past.

JFK was assassinated the day before my 9th Birthday so would be this. After that and something that had enormous impact was the Aberfan tip disaster in 1966, 116 primary schoolchildren and 28 adults lost there lives when a slag spoil mound engulfed their school. Absolutely horrific. Looks like we s...

Had a Vaillant combi installed last June and it has been excellent up to press. I originally asked for a Worcester Bosch but the heating engineer talked me out of it and said that the parts inside them had been "downgraded" with less stainless steel being used. Recognised installers can also get you...

Up to a few years ago the Deerplay inn used to have a sheepdog trial every Boxing Day -- more of a social event than anything really competitive. If poor customer service winds you up, avoid Dunelm stores! One of my pet hates is that a company will sell you something then bopmbard you with "how did we do?" emails for weeks. I would have preferred to retain Hedrick's services mainly for his versatility, but a 4 year contract on fairly hefty wages for a 28 year-old is a big outlay. From Newcastle's POV, they've secured a steady experienced PL player on a free transfer, so they'll no doubt consider that as good business,...
