Re: Match thread - Burnley v Aston Villa

A bad day, but as I said earlier plenty of twists and turns yet. Pleased Cornet back on scoresheet, could do with him chipping in another couple of goals now.

Quite possibly, but they'll be plenty of twists and turns still, from all 3 in the mix.

Whatever our thoughts, the best thing we as fans can do, is to get behind the players (and the new manager) and see where it takes us. Heck we might yet stay up, however unlikely, but if the noise from the stands is toxic then there's only one place we're heading.

Re: Big news coming soon from the Turf (Sean Dyche sacked)

I was one questioning Dyche, more often than not recently. I still do find it sad its ended in the way it has, but as Sean said himself, nothing lasts forever. I think at this stage I would have preferred the club to wait until the summer but it does give the new manager a bit of time to assess what...

Re: Worst Midfield

The issue is probably money. When we acquired Westwood & Cork in their prime the cost was a lot less than it would most likely be nowadays. I suppose you can only keep only getting good quality players at the required level cheaply for so long before the well runs dry. Probably, but we've had windo...

Dyche has worked miracles but now is the time for wholesale change. A more progressive manager, younger, quicker players, entertainment and a league in which we can genuinely compete. The financial situation is a real worry though. Especially if we keep handing fat contracts to twilight players aft...

Really feel, with two quality central midfielders we'd be mid table comfortably. They put so much pressure on the back four, and create practically nothing for our front players. Weghorst looks absolutely shot of any confidence.

Corberan good shout. Keep reading Dyche is the best man to get us back up. Really? The Championship has moved on since we were last there, not sure you can clog your way out of it now. Not convinced he is the man to rebuild us with youth and energy either. Sad state of affairs.

Re: canary versus MIGHTY CLARETS

For everyone calling for Dyches head be careful what you cretins wish for. If we go down we have a host of out of contract players, and likely a fire sale of Pope, McNeil, Cornet and Weghorst to plug the financial hole we are already rumoured to be facing, and will definitely be in if relegated. Let’s wait until the end of the season but I wouldn’t be bothered at all if it was.

Sean Dyche has been beyond superb for us, but all good things must come to an end.
I think it's becoming clearer a freshen up is needed, perhaps for both parties. Its just gone stale.
