If he jumps over the ball he is not interfering with play as the rules stand, Tella did it last year and, I think, Zaroury scored, which at the time I thought meant he was interfering but had it pointed out to me that it is not offside.

That isn't true. Intent is very much part of the punishment. Even without contact, intent comes into it. Out of control is exactly what it says, matters not if there is any intent to injure. What the rule is designed to do is prevent that flying through the air sort of tackle, As someone who still ...

I suspect that will be a fluid 3 at the back with Roberts and Vitinho as attacking wing backs/wide defensive midfield. Kompany likes to see 2 groups of 5 for the most part with an extra player being released to the other bank when we need to try and overload.

Our defence is best with Ekdal in and I'll keep beating this drum. He's a much better ball player than he gets credit for (don't know why he's not rated for it) and he's a better out-and-out defender than O'Shea, and seems to either shape up better for the keeper or aid in defensive organising (did...

Very poor so far. IF we played like this throughout the season we would end up below even Luton.
Little movement, poor ball control, all over the place at the back, and that midfield is absolutely dire so far.
I'm sure we will see lots of changes from Vinnie
