Sorry but why should we give them a year to get organised? Because they sign a contract saying they'll pay us £18m in full next summer. We might find, if there isn't interest in him from elsewhere, that it makes more financial sense than keeping him on a large wage for potentially another 4 years.

Must be quite a headache for Kompany already as to who the middle 2 will be. Cork appears to be the captain but you’d think Cullen is a cert due to his role and knowing the ins and outs of the system. We'd have been stronger with him simply because we didn't replace him with anybody. Although he was good in Dyche's system, his move to Reading reflects his ability.

We signed better players under Dyche, that’s a fact. Our recent signings may turn out to be better in time, but at the moment they’re not. It's not a valid conclusion. Valid means that only the independent variable (the different manager) affects the dependent variable (the quality of player signed).
