It’s an excellent and very interesting interview giving a good “ from the horses mouth “ perspective of how the deals are looked at etc . Yes it’s a bit of a puff piece with the Vinny love and “ all players want to stay “ etc but he’s a PR man so naturally he spins it well .

“Patting away shots” is nothing whatsoever to do with physicality , it’s simply one of the “ micro trends” that have ebbed and flowed with coaches and tactics . I can’t stand punching out unless it’s a real pressure outswinger but plenty of coaches think the % ‘s are slightly better with a good flap...

Why is the ref jumping to the prem with only lower league experience? Refs have to have a pretty “ hard yards” route generally to get to prem level . Or has he been earmarked as a real young high flyer ??

Brilliant and very funny trailblazer dj back in the day . Steve Wright and the afternoon boys was a joy with all the characters like Mr Angry , the geese , the dogs etc . Used to listen after school then through the 90’s etc when he toned down a bit but still enjoyable stuff .

It’s not that we don’t have talented , young quick technically gifted players , it’s that they’re not generally anywhere near the level required in the Prem . They’re by en large upper end “small european league” players who will all make a very nice living , while never troubling the main stage .
