I think it has already been decided that Michael Duff will step up for the remainder of the season, but Scholes could be a reasonably high profile enough replacement, would have got Latics job if caretaker hadn't done such a good job.

Re: UEFA Nations Leagues confirmed

It's all a bit confusing but they will be played in next season's international breaks rather than teams playing friendlies although they will then have to play the Euro 2020 qualifiers as well. Some of the places in Euro 2020 will go to the winners of these Nations League groups, via play-offs, bu...

How did flowers play? My personal opinion Flowers was ok, much like the rest. Don't really think any will be pushing for a 1st XI spot in the next 12-18months, best of bunch was Chakwana when he came on at half time, Lindegaard however needs to open his mouth and talk to his defenders, hardly a pee...

A reasonably good night, at a lovely nonleague ground. For anyone considering a visit for our future u23 games I highly recommend it. A few local Curzon Ashton & Ashton Utd fans also turned up to watch. As the report says 1st half was bit turgid but after the break the young Clarets seemed to find t...

It's the Ashton-u-Lyne tram you want, goes via Piccadilly Gardens & Piccadilly Station.
