Not that fussed about him re signing personally. If anything though we are probably more likely to resign existing players as I can’t see us splashing out big fees on new players in this market.

Think the oldest programme I still have is one of the yellow ones but I’ve loads the season after. Had to go up to Scotland straight after the 87-88 Carlisle 4-3 home game and remember trying to keep a low profile at the service station as their fans seemed quite annoyed.

Probably less but most people I know seem to be drinking more. Don’t really understand it when people say ‘I never have it in the house’ or ‘I never drink at home’. Is there a reason ? Why not ? I know someone who says this but goes to the pub a lot. He now has no choice but to drink at home.

Shouldn’t be any bailouts. Whilst clubs can afford to pay millions to players it’s tough luck really. They need to cut their cloth accordingly and a prudent business would not be run in the way football clubs are. Football clubs and players need a reality check.

Lack of principles and hypocracy isn’t going to inspire public confidence at a time when it’s needed. One man isn’t bigger than the party or government. Should have gone as have other public office figures who breached lockdown rules.

An excellent player for us overall. Benefited from who was playing along side him. Didn’t start off too great at Everton but as said above it wasn’t an organised defence beforehand. He wouldn’t walk back into our defence at present though.

Liberals don’t accept extremely harsh punishment. I accept they have different views. These types are intolerant of others views. A ‘life’ sentence that isn’t ‘rest of life’ is not worthy of the title. I strongly support capital punishment but it’s hardly odd and others can have their own views.

Doubt anyone will do anywhere near 30 years. Even so that would mean the oldest out at 69 or the youngest at 54. A daughter has been lost forever. If they are not being put to death they need flogging with a whip and sentenced to hard labour.

There really is an underclass in this country. A life sentence = up for parole after 15 years. Meals made for them, tv, probably games consoles etc. Just get rid of them.

For many who have taken a holiday they will find their interest rate has dropped in that time meaning they will be accruing the amount owed at a far lower rate. Silver lining for some which will help.

Samson was a great player. One of the few Arsenal players I liked. I remember the Ruddock episode and he didn’t come across well at all. As for the ‘demon drink’ referred to above it’s not. It’s the demon in the person who can’t control it. There are plenty who can ( as with gambling).
