Re: Positives
I don’t see many positives so I can’t & won’t imagine something that isn’t there, we are improving (performance wise) but not converting any sort of good performance into points & the performances aren’t consistent. Teams that play well find ways to win even when they are off it, we struggle on bot...

Re: Arsenal v Burnley - Player Ratings
Trafford- 5. Feel really sorry for him now. 2 great saves, 2 bad mistakes. The cruel yin-yang of football. He's going to be an ace keeper but it's time to get him out of the firing line and give him a break. Even if Muric has a howler or two, at least then everyone goes "see it's not the keeper" an...

There is nothing that’s annoyed me all season more than our set pieces. Not necessarily defensively but offensively.
Credit where it’s due, we changed today and didn’t pass them backwards. I’ll save my “sack him” comments on that basis, but SO much work to do to get anywhere near Prem level

This is really twisting history NewClaret - for a start we had no trouble taking in Maxwel Cornet in his last year - I also don't think Dyche will struggle signing players for Everton either. Paying good wages and being in the Prem is always an attractive situation no matter what. A lot of this opi...

To be fair, Dyche adopted a much more pragmatic style when the chips were down by prioritising a strong defence and grinding out results. We played with more freedom in many spells throughout his time at Burnley but whenever we found ourselves on a bad run or in relegation trouble he went back to b...

It’s part of football, it’s highs and lows. VK and the team got to enjoy the highs last season and now they are experiencing the lows. To be fair the football this season is deserving of criticism There a few elements, perhaps, worthy of criticism. In the main though, it’s been individual errors, c...

Worst set of kits in a long time. Weird really because more exposure this season so you'd think they'd want a shirt as popular as last seasons, especially the home. It’s bizarre and frustrating. They are half way there with it in selling replica shirts. I went in to the club shop today and have to confess to being a bit harsh on the club in my criticism of the flags. There’s three. All very decent sizes and they look good quality. Have to agree about Vitinho. Far too wasteful with the ball. Will commend one thing though… often vs Palace he drove at them with pace. It did t come too much but moved us up the pitch. Regardless of form upturn January should be about using one or two loans to stiffen the spine. Eric Dier is an example. Could help in 2 positions. Can even move positions during the game. A new overseas signing would take too long to bed in. Up front or full back would then be the next priorities. ...

I'm taking the same mindset as Foster with Tresor. I didn't think Foster would work out at all based on last seasons showing (albeit there was no lack of effort) and he seems to have turned a corner. Whether we can afford to carry someone this season who might take 6 months to get up to speed is an...

Simple. Make it AI and automated. When not automatic increase the margin of error to just catch the complete howlers. Otherwise stay with the on field decision. Add a 2 min timer for decisions... Give coaches one challenge each. It works in other sports because the on field ref/umpires retain the d...

When you look at the back 5 that played Saturday, personally I don't think Trafford, O'Shea or Taylor are as good on the ball as their counterparts from last season (Muric, THB and Maatsen). Our transfer strategy should depend on where we are in the table in January… In touching difference: go for a few experienced loans to help see if we can catch up. Out of sight: double down on signing the best young talent possible. Give them half a season of PL money/experience/time in training rea...

Feel for Jack. Said on another post that he needs to start planning a loan move for Jan. Dont suppose anyone will pay his wages in full so it may be a 50/50. I think there’s plenty of precedents set that this style won’t work. In fact I can’t think of a single team that has been successful at being promoted and staying up playing our style. That all sounds a bit ‘football snob’ to me if I’m honest.
