Re: Any news on Ben Mee ?

The idea that these new centre halves are suddenly going to be better than Ben Mee is pure fantasy.

If Kompany did reject the opportunity to re-sign him because he wouldn’t fit into his system then I think it’s a really daft move.

I’m excited to see Twine and the others we’ve brought in but I fully expect Dwight to have a better season and be more influential than those next year.

Assuming he stays with us, of course.

I think that sums up my thoughts Rowls - and Dyche should be lauded for the way he dragged our club forward from where it was. Essential for me. Not for footballing reasons, but purely financial ones. Also, for all this talk of 5 year projects with Kompany at the helm, it very rarely works out like that. If he does well then he’ll inevitably be poached by a bigger club, considering how big a name he was as a player, and if ...

No. Haven't seen such mantra. But if that's the case it's harmless.
Kompany mentioned it numerous times in his own press conference upon being appointed and he mentioned it again in the Scott Twine video when they introduced him to Alan Pace.

Just seems a bit too scripted.
