Re: Cricket Field End penalty
Speaking of the cricket field end, how come we always seem to play towards the Jimmy Mac second half. Has something changed regarding the coin toss? You'd have thought some teams would try and switch ends. I can't remember the last time it was the other way round.

We should be on 50+ points let’s be fair and we aren’t close to half way. 15 points dropped from winning positions I was thinking about this last night. Most of those points dropped were earlier on in the season as well, we seem to be on an upward trajectory in terms of ppg. we should be on about 5...

So Ashley Barnes' day in bullet points: 1. Starts the game unexpectedly (even he didn't know till today), but he's bang on it. 2. Nearly scores in the first half 3. Scores the first and then pushes the keeper into the back of the net 4. Great volley which is saved for the second goal 5. Cooly slots ...

Was watching the away end after the final whistle, and hardly any of them clapped the team, off. There were a few venting themselves at the players though. Seriously, how are they 3rd? They look like a team flirting with relegation. Surely the wheels will come off soon.

First of all, due to me having to miss the home 1-0 win in 2015/16 (as I was at my mates wedding), this is the first time I've EVER seen us beat them live in the flesh (I"ve been a season ticket holder since 1987). Looking at these stats, it seems like they favour shots from distance and don't really press too much (which should suit us)

Nice evening out watching us have 85% possession, and 783 passes. I'm amazed on how quickly the players have adapted to this new style tbh. Also what a steal Benson and Zaroury are looking :) Peacock-Farrell 7 Lowton 7 McNally 7 Taylor 7 Roberts 7 Benson 8 Egan-Riley 7 Bastien 6 Gudmundsson 6 Costel...

I've always thought that players should receive more extreme punishment when pushing other players at speed into hoardings, it happens all too often, and could cause serious injury. Tella and Beyer have been on the receiving end of these tactics in the last month.

Definitely need a striker to stretch teams and who is direct. Obafemi or Gyokeres would be ideal, but I think Gyokeres is out of our price range. Maybe we go in for O'Hare again? Hopefully when we return we should have Westy, churlinov and Twine back. Maybe a big physical CB? In terms of outgoings, ...

Looking at the stats, Blackburn play a similar "play out from the back" style to us. I'm hoping (and this is a big hope) that if they try and take us on at football, we will tear them to shreds, as we did Swansea.

Here's an interesting stat, since Preston Beat us at home in 2015 2-0, we have gone unbeaten at home in the championship.
21 games
We need to not lose in our next two home games and we will have gone an entire season unbeaten at home (although it spans 7 years!)

The last time I went was to the FA Cup replay where Micah Hyde scored. Drove from Macclesfield and just parked up nearby. Personally I agree with Mattster on this, after giving them hardly a sniff all game, we invited too much pressure and could have paid the price. Too many key players going off gave them a bit of confidence. Either way, we need to find that key second goal in games, that''s the only real criticism so...

Re: Burnley v Norwich - Player Ratings
Solid display against a reasonably good side. We kept their front 3 pretty quiet in general. Main positives were the increased confidence in the 2 centre backs to use the width by playing raking balls out wide, and on occasion break the lines with forward runs. I'm not convinced with this taking pla...

I've no problem with Phil Bird being biased. He is club commentator after all, he doesn't work for BBC or ITV and has no obligation to be neutral in any way shape or form. I think he's pretty good at what he does and I don't really get all this sudden negativity towards him.
