The same Pep who bought Kalvin Phillips? Fair point, but he was a very good player at the time, but no way Pep would buy him now. Players do go downhill you know, and Pep recognises it. How many would want Southgate as our manager? I bet not many, if any at all Had he had the squads that SD or VK had I doubt we'd ever have come close to getting promoted. I am with you Spijed. Re: England U21'S
Realistically, letting all these goals in could really be damaging his confidence. Perhaps a few games out wouldn't do him any harm. Agreed, but the job of a good manager is to decide if he plays on, or if he has a one on one frank conversation with him to rest him, and bring him back in at the rig...

I think I can live without Maatsen-he would not be the answer to the defences lapses we have made this season. On the other hand Tella could well have been a handful and exposed a few defences of teams we have played, and allowed Foster even more freedom. He is the one we have missed

We need a couple of seasoned PL pros who can hit the ground running-we now have enough "exciting wide men" with the potential to grow. The new LeIcester manager has brought in a lot of youngsters but also Harry Winks and Connnor Coady, and retained Vardy and Hienaccho

I think VK needs to learn too-particularly with team selection. For me he is becoming the PL's Ranieri ie the tinkerer. I have yet to name the starting 11 this season-infact been well off every game. With Dyche forecasting the team was fairly elementary, once you knew who was injured

I think O'Shea was liked by the WBA fans, and was seen as a first choice defender. I think VK was wrong to build him ...

Great win for Arteta. Interesting for me today, and slightly off topic-Rodri arguably Man City's most vital player is serving suspension. I think on paper Luton Town are the weakest team we'll face all season, and the fact that we failed to regain control of the match after taking the lead is a worry.
